Bereavement, Loss and Grief Resources
I am conducting a scientific survey to help understand the relationship between the use of humor and laughter while healing from the grief following the death of a loved one. It is a simple questionnaire that will only take a few minutes of your time, but the findings will have great value for those who are bereaved. Please help me out by going to my website at: www.thelaughacademy.com and click on the right side where it says: take grief survey. Also please spread the word to anyone who will participate. If you work somewhere that has staff or clients that may be able to fill out the survey, but will require hard copies, just let me know and I will be glad to send some to you.
Thanking you in advance,
Nancy Weil

Loss and Meaning Study
A team of researchers from the Counseling Psychology program at The University of Memphis is studying the positive psychological changes and the ways of finding meaning in the aftermath of a loss of a loved one and bereavement adjustment. In their study, entitled “Loss and Meaning,” they hope to find out more about the characteristics that allow some people to experience personal growth after loss of a loved one. The study, which has been reviewed and approved by the Institutional Research Review Board, involves completing several web-based questionnaires.
They are asking for your help with this project. The research questionnaires are online and the questionnaires should take between 25 to 45 minutes to complete. There is no identifying information on the surveys, so all responses are anonymous.
Click here for the “Loss and Meaning” study.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the senior researcher (Thomas V. Sayger, Ph.D. (tvsayger@memphis.edu) or doctoral student Guler Boyraz (gboyraz@memphis.edu) any time, at your convenience.
