Grief Camps for Kids

Amanda the Panda
Camp Amanda the Panda provides support to grieving children and their families through weekend camps, support groups, home visits, fun days, school presentations, pen pal programs, Halloween and Christmas parties, birthday cards and remembrances on the anniversary of the death.

Camp Kesem
Kids with parents who are cancer patients have their lives turned upside down. Camp Kesem will provide these children with a safe place to be kids again and have fun. They will have a network of other kids in the same boat with whom to share thoughts and feelings, and a community of adults who can provide needed attention and boost their self esteem.

Camp Solari
A bereavement camp at Mount Charleston Lodge in Las Vegas for children and their families, teaching children and their families healthy ways to express feelings, meet others who are experiencing similar losses, and continue on in life while honoring the lost loved one. This is done in a positive, fun environment, with some of the best grief and loss professionals in the country.

Comfort Zone Camp
Comfort Zone Camp is a fun and safe place for grieving who have experienced the loss of a parent, sibling or primary caregiver. Camps are held in Richmond, Virginia, and are open to all grieving children from across the country.

Ellen's Angels Foundation
This retreat is designed for adult daughters and their mothers to remember lifelong bonds, resolve conflicts, revision future connections and relax in the company of each other. Through sharing circles, experiential exercises, poetry, music and paired dialogues, daughters and their mothers will engage each other in new ways and celebrate the unique relationship that is unlike any other in our lives.

Our House
Our House is an independent, non-sectarian place where children and adults come to seek comfort and support when the death of a spouse, a parent, a sibling, or a child rocks the foundation of their home.

Ted E. Bear Hollow
Ted E. Bear Hollow, a center for grieving children located in Omaha, Nebraska, offers day-long support\educational camps for children ages 3-19. and support groups for children and parents that meet weekly throughout the year for six- and eight-week periods.
